Nik Hughes

Drummer/Percussionist

Nik Hughes has traveled around the world performing and recording with such legendary artists as Bush, Andy Grammer, Bishop Briggs, Youngblood Hawke, Puddle of Mudd, Emily Osment, Iglu & Hartly, Ty Taylor and many more. 

 Nik splits his time between northern Virginia and Los Angeles, where he has developed a reputation as one of the most dynamic, consistent, and creative drummer/percussionists in the industry.   

He began studying drums at the age of six, and went on to perform in orchestras, marching bands, and jazz bands throughout school.  He has a degree in music from George Mason University with a focus in orchestral and jazz music.  He has also studied Congas and Bata in Cuba with Cutumba folklorico de Santiago.   

Nik has performed countless tours across five continents and over twenty-five countries.  He has performed on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel, The Conan O’Brian Show, The View, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and the CBS Early Show to name a few.   

Nik is also a member of the band Youngblood Hawke who was signed to Republic Records and have a Gold record for their track “We Come Running.” 

He records drums and percussion remotely from his studio in Gainesville, VA for producers and artists all over the world.
